Fast forward to spring

Once the holidays are over I would like it to be spring immediately. I don’t care for cold weather or waiting for enough frozen lakes and canals to have a skating tour. Fast forward to spring I say. The harsh reality ensures endlessly looking at houses in sunnier places. Gazing jealously at people who’re having their coffee on a sunny terrace.

One of the latest blog posts of photographer Brian Ferry came therefor as god sent. For the February issue of Dwell he photographed an apartment in São Paulo. Brian: “This renovated apartment in São Paulo is located in the Jardins neighbourhood. Its defining characteristic is certainly the indoor/outdoor terrace, which is a rarity in congested São Paulo apartment buildings. So nice to bring nature indoors in a big city.” I can only agree with him.

“It was a beautiful, sunny day so the light was great for the shoot – and the owner (Simone Santos) and one of the architects (Alexandre Skaff, of SAO Arquitetura) made it a really fun shoot day, too.”
